Our GPs are able to provide all primary health care services, including minor surgical procedures, mental health care, contraception (Implanon insertion and removal) and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and asthma.
GPs are able to consult with each other to ensure patients receive the benefit of a collective approach to health care.
Dr Afshan Furqan
Dr Afshan Furqan graduated from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences in Pakistan in 2001. Dr Furqan has a special interest in Women’s Health, Children’s Health and Chronic Disease Management. Other languages: Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi. She consults Tuesdays, Thursday evenings and Saturdays.
Dr Hakima Abbas
Dr Hakima Abbas graduated from Pakistan in 2010 and has worked at the Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospital for 4.5 years and in general practice for 2 years. She has a special interest in women's health, Implanon insertion/removal and Mirena removal. She speaks Hazaragi, Urdu and Hindi.
